Christmas Card Fun

Wow....once again it has been FOREVER since I have posted.....ugh.  Sorry

Today I would like to share some Christmas Card Kits.  I want to thank fellow CTMH Consultant Brenda Rose for sharing her inspiration.  She is so talented!

Now on to the cards.  There are 18 different cards in each kit, all cut, die cuts and stamped for you. You just need to assemble them using the guide that I have put together for you.  These great cards feature our Picture My Life Christmas Overlays, Clear Sparkles and glittery snow flakes made using our Snow Flake Thin Cuts. 

I have created two versions of the cards...one using the elegant Sea Glass and Gold colors of the Oh Deer paper pack and the other using the more traditional Christmas colors of the City Sidewalks paper pack.  Both have sparkles and glitter!  (of coarse!)  Each kit includes card bases & envelopes, a full pack of the Picture My Life Christmas Overlays, Clear Sparkles, pre-cut papers, pre-stamped images and Snowflake die cuts out of our sparkly glitter paper.  Before you know it you will have 18 hand made Christmas Cards to send to friends and family.

The kits are $30 each plus $6.45 for Priority Mail postage. Gotta LOVE the Sparkle! Card Kit

Hello.....today I want to share a card idea that a fellow CTMH consultant recently shared....

I know that the picture does not do it justice, but the sparkle in the CTMH Shimmer Trim is just stunning.  And the shine on the Gold Foil Tape just makes it Pop! that much more.  And against the black and white papers, Wow.  I just knew I had to make my version of the card.  But I didn't stop at just one.....

The pictures really do not do them justice.  But here is a close up of the Shimmer Trim....

Our Shimmer Trim is vibrant and sparkly....but best of all the glitter does not rub off.  And even better, it is self adhesive.  It comes in 13 colors and sells for $4.95 for a 5 yard roll.  It is great for adding accents on your layouts, cards and other projects.  Did I say that I LOVE this product???!!!  And our Foil Tapes are just as sparkly.  They come in Gold, Silver and Rose Gold and also sell for $4.95 per roll of 15 yards.

I love these cards so much that I decided to offer them as a kit.  The kit will include all of the supplies to make all eight of the cards, with the papers all cut and ready to go.  You have the option to have me stamp your sentiments as shown or to receive them blank so you can pick your own sentiments.  The kits sells for $20.00 plus $6.45 for priority mail.  If you would like to order a set please email me at Susieque@sbcglobal.net to make arrangements.

Fall and Christmas Workshops at the Studio

I know that it has been a while since I have posted....I just don't know where the time has gone!  November 3rd already?!  I wanted to let you know about some fun I have planned at the Glitter Queen's Studio.  I can't believe I am talking Christmas....but I wanted to get the schedule out there before your calendars fill up.  I know mine is already looking crazy.  So here goes:

• Thanksgiving Fun - Saturday, November 21  1 pm
• We will be making all you need for your Fall Decor - a fun centerpiece made with Mason Jars and candles, some fun treat holders for giving or decorating your Thanksgiving Dinner Table and even a card or two.  Kindly bring your basic tools like a paper trimmer, scissors and adhesive if you have it.  Workshop Cost is $20
• Christmas Card Buffet - Saturday, November 14  10 am to 4 pm
• What is a Card Buffet you ask?  Well, as the name suggests, you get to pick what you want to make.  I will have a display of 10 cards for you to choose from.  There will be packets for each card with everything already cut for you, just stamp and assemble.  You can make 1 card or 10, depending on how much time you have.  The workshop is designed to be Open House style and self paced, come when you can and stay as long as you like from 10 am to 4 pm.  Of course I will be there to help you along the way.  The cost is $2.00 per card.  Kindly bring your basic tools like a paper trimmer, scissors and adhesive if you have it. 
• * * * Bonus Offer - If you find a card or two that you want to make multiples of to send to family and friends there will be the option of ordering kits of your favorite card - each kit costs $15 for 10 cards.
• Christmas Gift Tags & Gift Bags Buffet - Tuesday November 17 6 pm to 10 pm
• Patterned after the Christmas Card Buffet, you will be able to customize your workshop by choosing the gift tags and small gift bags that you want to make.  You can make 1 tag/bag or 10, depending on how much time you have. The workshop is designed to be Open House style and self paced, come when you can and stay as long as you like from 6 pm to 10 pm.  Of course I will be there to help you along the way.  The cost is $1.00 per tag/bag.  Kindly bring your basic tools like a paper trimmer, scissors and adhesive if you have it. 
• * * * Bonus Offer - If you find a tag or bag that you want to make multiples of for your gift giving,  there will be the option of ordering kits of your favorite tags or bags- each kit costs $10 for 15 tags/bags.
• Christmas Favors and Gift Card Holders - Monday, November 30 6:30 pm
• Spend a fun evening in the Glitter Queen Studio creating fun Christmas themed treats and gift card holders.  We will be making 4 treats and 4 gift card holders.  The cost of the workshop is $15.  Kindly bring your basic tools like a paper trimmer, scissors and adhesive if you have it.

Wow, that was a mouthful!  Soooo many ideas, so little time!  In addition to these Holiday Themed workshop I still have the basics....

• Tuesday Night Card Making - Tuesday, November 10 and December 15 @ 7 pm.
• The idea of the workshop is to have a casual gathering to create some cards, make new friends and spend a relaxing evening at the Glitter Queen's Studio. The cards will be designed for all levels of card making experience from beginner to expert.  Each month we will make 4 different cards. I will be holding these card making sessions on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm and the cost is only $5.  Kindly bring your basic tools like a paper trimmer, scissors and adhesive if you have it.
• Friday Night Chat & Scrap - December 4 & 18 6 pm to ......
• What is a Chat & Scrap?  Bring your project over to the 'Glitter Queen's Studio' and work without any of the  interruptions that you get at home.  You will have access to all of my tools, stamps, inks, punches and even my Cricut and the Close To My Heart Artbooking, Art Philosophy, Artiste, Artfully Sent and the NEW Artistry Cartridges.  I have also have tons of dies and embossing folders.
  The evening includes dinner and snacks.  And there will even be a simple Make & Take project.  All for $10.  This would also be an opportunity to complete any kits that your pro-ordered from one of my buffets above.
• Sunday Afternoon Chat & Scrap - December 13 11 am to .....
• All of the details from the Friday Night Chat & Scrap apply - except it includes lunch instead of dinner

What is it all about?

I know that a lot of my family and friends are wondering about my passion for stamping and scrap booking.  It seems like I am always posting on FB about a Chat & Scrap that I am hosting or a Retreat Weekend that I am either hosting or attending.....and I know that they are saying to themselves 'Really?  Again?  Why?'

Maybe this video from Close To My Heart will spread some light on it:

I value my time that I am able to spend papercrafting.  But it isn't just the papercrafting.  It is the relationships that I have made over the years.  You can put a group of scrappers who have NOTHING in common together in a room for the weekend and I guarantee that many new long lasting friendships will be made.  We love to share stories, ideas and resources.

So I encourage you to go out soon and do some paper crafting.  Make some new friends!  It doesn't matter where, but I would love to have you join me at one of my events.  Check out my schedule on the 'My Calendar' tab above.

Halloween Workshops

Before the month of October is completely gone I thought it would be fun to get together for a workshop or two.  I have come up with three different projects....I hope you find something you like.

Halloween Cards and Treats - Wednesday October 15 @ 6:30 pm

We will be making 4 cards and 4 treats.  All cutting will be done for you ahead of time.  Cost of the workshop is $15.

And of course there will be extra candy for sampling!

Halloween Flip Album - Saturday, October 18 @ 11 am

This 8 page Halloween themed flip album is made using our Designed Decor Flip Stand Album.  Each page features images from our ArtBooking Cricut cartridge.  All cutting will be done ahead of time for you.  Cost of the workshop is $20.

Scaredy Cat Layouts with Flip Flaps - Tuesday, October 21 @ 7 pm

Flip flaps are a great way to add on to a standard layout....you can add out or up or down....and it all folds back up to fit nicely into your album.  We will be making what is really 3 two page layouts, but once we utilize the flip flap page holders it will become 1 two page layout with extensions.  Confused?  Check out the photos below.  We will be using the fun Scaredy Cat paper pack and compliments.  And of course all of the paper will be cut ahead of time for you.
Cost of the workshop is $20.
