Paper Pumpkin

Wow, I haven't been on here for a while.  November sure was a whirl wind in our house!  Before the month is completely over (it still has a few hours, lol!) I wanted to share a special project that I did this month.

I started with an 8 in styrofoam ball and sliced off some at the top and bottom to give it the shape of a pumpkin.  I then covered the ball with strips of burlap - both to cover the styrofoam from peeking out among the flowers and to give me a better surface to glue the flowers to.

I then used the CTMH Cricut Cartridge Art Philosophy to cut the different types of flowers.  I cut them at 4 and 4 1/2 inches.  Once I rolled all my flowers (let me just say that the CTMH Quilling Tool REALLY helps) I started from the bottom and glued the flowers on using Quick Dry Tacky Glue.  To top it off I simply rolled some Olive cardstock and glued 'the stem' to the top.  Add some leaves and vines, cut using the CTMH Artbooking cartridge.  And TADA!  I think when I put it out next year I am going to add some glitter highlights....because I am after all the Glitter Queen!

Another Artbooking Made Easy Video

Artbooking Made Easy Video

Have you seen CTMH's latest Cricut cartridge?  I have to say that the Artbooking Collection is the best one yet....

So what is so great this time?  The Artbooking cartridge includes 15 layout designs, all including overlays, titles, icons, frames and mats.  And since the sizes are all linked to cut proportionately, you can do an entire layout using one key and not have to change to size for each cut.  Talk about saving time!

In addition to the 15 layouts, there are 10 mini albums, each with a different theme.  And, just like the layouts, the sizes are linked so everything will cut proportionately.....pages, titles, icons, mats, etc.

Sneek Peek at the NEW Cricut Cartridge

Last week we were in Orlando for the Annual CTMH Convention.  I had a great time of coarse.  How could I not with my two favs....Disney and Close to My Heart!  If only we could have gotten rid of the humidity...but oh well.

I spent time doing the parks first with my family and then with my Stamping Sistas.  And convention started and we got to see the new Idea Book.  You are going to LOVE it.  I will make sure you all get one when it goes live August 1.
