I wanted to take a moment to share something that came in the mail yesterday.....

This is a letter recognizing the donations to Operation Smile that I raised last year.  I never know they even did this.  I was so surprised!

So why am I sharing this?  Just toot my own horn?  No!  This recognition goes out to all of the great Glitter Galz who attend my retreats and take part in my Operation Smile Raffles.  You galz are the bestest!
At each of my weekend Glitter Galz Getaway Retreats I hold a fundraiser raffle to support Operation Smile.  You never know what I am going to come up with for prizes....a CTMH Cricut Bundle, Special Artwork, a day away in my Glitter Queen Studio for the winner and her friends, a CTMH album filled with layouts all ready for pictures to be added, Princess Treatment at your next retreat....just to name a few.  I love doing this and I am so proud of the support that these great ladies show by purchasing tickets.  Thank you!

Share the Love....

Happy February....

This month's special from Close to my Heart is for a wonderful group who is dear to our hearts....Operation Smile.  Operation Smile is the volunteer group of doctors, nurses and support teams who go around the world performing cleft pallet surgeries.  Families travel from near and far when they hear that Operation Smile is coming to their part of the world to begin the screening process to be selected for the corrective surgeries.  It is a wonderful group that offers a chance of a normal life to those who are born with this condition.

For the month of February Close to my Heart is offering a special stamp set, Share the Love.  This is a fun stamp set that would be great for both card making and scrapbooking. 

 During the month of February Close to my Heart will donate $7 to Operation Smile for every set that is ordered.  And to sweeten the pot....I will pay your shipping.

At my Scrappin Glitter Galz Getaway last weekend we help a raffle to support Operation Smile. 

 These wonderful ladies raised $540 purchasing raffle tickets and 11 ladies also ordered the Share the Love set so CTMH will be sending $77 to OS on their behalf.  That is $617!  YOU GLITTER GALZ ROCK!

What is it all about?

I know that a lot of my family and friends are wondering about my passion for stamping and scrap booking.  It seems like I am always posting on FB about a Chat & Scrap that I am hosting or a Retreat Weekend that I am either hosting or attending.....and I know that they are saying to themselves 'Really?  Again?  Why?'

Maybe this video from Close To My Heart will spread some light on it:

I value my time that I am able to spend papercrafting.  But it isn't just the papercrafting.  It is the relationships that I have made over the years.  You can put a group of scrappers who have NOTHING in common together in a room for the weekend and I guarantee that many new long lasting friendships will be made.  We love to share stories, ideas and resources.

So I encourage you to go out soon and do some paper crafting.  Make some new friends!  It doesn't matter where, but I would love to have you join me at one of my events.  Check out my schedule on the 'My Calendar' tab above.

Circus Alphabet....July Stamp of the Month

I know it has been a while since I posted anything....we were a little busy in our house with my daughter's high school graduation.  We are so proud of her!  As you can see, my Cricut was a little busy...

 And I was no soon recovered from all of the festivities and then it was time for our Annual Close To My Heart Convention.  This year it was held at the Disneyland Hotel.....and it was a great time!

I will be sharing more of what we did through out the month....but for now I want to tell you about this month's great Stamp of the Month....
