The Bunnies Are Coming . . . .

Easter will be here before we know it.  I just can't believe it is so close.  So I decided it was time to make some Easter Treats.  I found these Bunny Bags on a Bulletin Board and decided to give it that Glitter Queen touch.  Here is what I came up with . . . . .

And for a closer view . . . . .

And they have a bag for you to fill with treats . . . .

Aren't they just so cute!?  This will be just one of the cute items we are going to make at my 'Easter Is Here' Workshop on Tuesday, March 27.  The workshop will start at 7 pm and be held at my house.  The cost is only $10.  Please RSVP by Sunday, March 25.  Stay tuned for more samples.

Hope to see you soon,
Sue

Getting Ready for St. Patrick's Day

With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, yesterday I decided to play with some ideas that I saw while surfing some blogs.  Of coarse I had to give them the Glitter Queen's Touch....

The first one is a St. Patrick's Day Wreath.  This was really simple to make....just make a variety of accordion fold flowers from card stock - I used New England Ivy, Topiary and Pear.  The shamrock is made up of three 2 inch hearts that I cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  I then used some buttons from the CTMH Green Button Assortment and some glitter pom poms that I picked up.  And here is the final project.....

Next I made a Shamrock Purse using Pear card stock and green glitter.  I edge all of the cut lines with a dark green chalk before assembling....and finished it off with some gold Stickles.  I love how it came out.  Fill it with some 'gold' and you have a perfect gift!

This month's Stamp of the Month is called Potential.  It is loaded with lots of images that would be perfect for adding that perfect accent on your artwork.

And what is even better, our Stamp of the Month program is a great value.  The normal retail price is $17.95 but during the month of March you can purchase this great set for just $5.00 with any $50.00 purchase.

Here is some wonderful artwork my CTMH Consultant Sisters created using this stamp set and the elegant Florentine paper pack.  All of these are featured in our Spring/Summer Idea Book.  If you don't have one yet please contact me today and I will get it to you!  You can also view it online if you like.  Just click on the 'Idea Book' tag under Post Topics at the top right corner of my blog.  Now for the artwork....

Wall Art

Recently I was flipping through a scrapbooking magazine and this cool project jumped out at me.  It was a backless picture frame with a mini banner strung accross it done in a shabby-chic theme.  I don't know why but the idea really stuck with me.  So when it was time for me to sit down and create some artwork for my application to teach at Extravaganza at the Close To My Heart Convention this summer of course this project came to mind.  But shabby-chic is NOT my style.  So here is what I came up with.

It is a 20X24 wood frame painted with acrylic paint that I tinted with our Re-inkers to coordindate with the colors in the Florentine paper pack that I used.  Using our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge I cut the banner pieces, the flowers and the butterfly.

I was really happy with how this came out.  I just hope that it survived being shipped to Utah!  Now I just have to wait and see if I get selected to teach!  I would cross my fingers but that would hinder my crafting!

Happy Creating,
Sue
